Buelah is my mom’s Jamaican pet name. My grandmother gave it to her for two reasons:
1. Her expectations for my mother were (and still are) high! Buelah is an old testament word meaning “to be paired to” or “married.” Not very subtle Moralis!
2. To remind her that to get the life you want, you have to work. To create a paradise, “a land of milk and honey,” for our family, my mom had to be willing to work, to be married to it.
This new business name, buelahland, is a reflection of the reason I work. Even though I love to travel the world, and collaborate with fascinating people. I work to create a paradise for those I love, and if you’re seeing this message, I know you do too.
